Members attend Maryland Federation of Republican Women's Convention

On November 6-8th 2009, seven members of the SPRWC, traveled to attend the Maryland Federation of Republican Women’s Convention at the beautiful Hyatt in Cambridge Maryland. The keynote speaker was Liz Cheney with a surprise visit from the RNC Chairman Michael Steele too, as well as the opportunity to meet and greet with many regional political candidates. It was very energizing and uplifting as we head into the very important 2010 elections next year. Several exciting announcements took place at the meetings. First, will be hosting next years MFRW Convention in Annapolis next year! Hopefully that will mean even more of our membership will be able to attend. Also, our own Liz League took her oath of office to serve as Recording Secretary for the MFRW board. We were also recognized over the weekend as the only Diamond Award winner for Maryland, and impressively one of only 3 clubs in the nation to receive this distinct honor bestowed by the National Federation of Republican Women!
